Come join our annual Chatham Island concert and island tour – each year on Auckland Anniversary Weekend, Chatham Island’s holds a concert on the island featuring amazing performers. In 2024 The Lady Killers entertained the island supported by Chris McHardy.

In 2025 line up of artists is equally as impressive so come join our seven night tour of Chatham Island with the highlight being VIP attendance at the annual Concert in the Garden held at Admiral Gardens.

On this tour – if you’re a solo traveller, there is no additional cost for a room on your own.

From the time you step onboard the Air Chatham’s flight in Auckland until you step off back in Auckland, there are no other costs unless you want barista coffee or buy something from one of the island’s local gift and speciality shops. Simply pack your bag and bring your credit card. An ATM at the the hotel and general store allows you to take cash out during their opening hours.

Seven-night Chatham Island Concert & Island tour package includes

  • Return Air Chatham flights valued at $1,300
  • Departing Auckland Saturday 25 January, returning to Auckland Saturday 1 February 
  • Return airport transfers at Chatham Island
  • Accommodation at Hotel Chathams located on the waterfront in Waitangi
  • Cooked and continental breakfast each day
  • Lunch each day
  • Three course dinner with wines or beer each night
  • Welcoming seafood dinner on Saturday night
  • Fishing excursion (weather permitting) – heading out to catch your own Blue Cod which will be packaged up for you to take home.
  • VIP concert tickets – includes dinner, two glasses of wine or beer, plus a goodie bag which has your collectable wine or beer glass and bucket hat to keep the sun off your head.

Seven-night pack locations you’ll visit, weather dependant are:

  • Solomon statue experience – meet Maui Solomon, grandson of Tommy Solomon.  Walk the Solomon farm, taking in breathtaking views of the windswept headlands, hear about the restorative tree planing the Solomon family are undertaking
  • Visit Owenga where fishermen may be returning or launching their fishing boats – take a long walk along Owenga’s wharf
  • Visit Kopi Bush Retreat, enjoy the company of Bridget Preece (and John if he’s home) who will guide you through the bush where you will hear about their restoring the bush.  Kopi Bush Retreat was recently featured on Grand Designs as being an entirely off-grid home located on 485 hectares of farmland and 10 hectares of native bush
  • Visit Kopinga Marae which stands as a tribute to the Moriori ancestors who believed so strongly in their ancient covenant of peace that they were not prepared to break with it when their Islands were invaded in 1835
  • Enjoy a leisurely wander through the island’s new museum which is walking distance to your accommodation
  • Waitangi West – walk the beach looking for beautiful pink Paua shells
  • Port Hutt, learning the history of the two ship wrecks that lay close to the shore plus enjoy the spectacular Coastal Walk for an unbelievable kina and paua experience
  • Sunderland museum – look at the restoration that is taking place plus enjoy a Port Hutt headland walk, looking for paua along with learning how to shuck paua plus have these paua cooked for you to savour
  • Point Munning to view the island’s local seal colony
  • Te Whakaru Whaling Station ruins
  • J M Barker Hapupu National Historic Reserve to view the Moriori dendroglyphs (tree carvings)
  • Ocean Mail Scenic Reserve
  • Kaingaroa fishing village – maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see fishermen unloading their catch
  • Splatter Rock – where the endangered Chatham Island Oyster Catcher nests, on days when the wind is blowing your hair will be blown every which way
  • Basalt Columns – these impressive white and black columns which protrude from the water
  • Blind Jim’s where you can wade the water looking for fossilised sharks teeth and sea urchin spines
  • Option for a day trip to Pitt Island (weather permitting) – additional cost
  • Quiz night

$5,400 per person – [5 rooms available] first floor Seaview Executive Suite, super king or two king single beds, ensuite with shower, lounge area, Sky TV, mini bar and tea making facility

Booking, cancellation & refunds

  • NZ$500 deposit secures your place
  • If you choose to cancel your booking, what you’ve paid is non-refundable unless we fill your place
  • If we have to cancel we will give you a full refund or you can have your deposit transferred to any of our other events
  • Full payment is due 6 weeks prior to the commencement date and is thereafter non-refundable in the event of your choosing to cancel, unless we are able to re-fill your place
  • We strongly recommend travel insurance be taken out as soon as you have booked to cover you should you, due to illness, be unable to travel.
